I had been wanting to get my eyebrow pierced for a while, but just never
went and had it done. I have 2 tattoos, and thought surely it couldn't
hurt any worse than that. I'm 29, and the only things I have pierced
are my ears. My husband had his nose pierced and said that it hurt
pretty bad when he did it. We went on vacation to Panama City Beach
last week, and I thought...well if I'm gonna do it, that's a perfect
time. Before we went, I read EVERY ONE of the experience recounts on
this page. I admit some made me very nervous! Finally, after being
down in the surf and sun for a week, it was time. I looked in the
yellow pages and found a studio that touted "Professional" and
"Sterlized" and "Physician supervised". I thought...that's the one. On
Friday, May 4 we walked into Tracers on Front Beach Road in Panama City
Beach Florida. I told them what I wanted and a few seconds later Eric
appeared. Eric is a cute little 25 year old with MANY piercings,
including multiple eye, lip and tongue. I said "Well, it looks like I'm
in capable hands!" He grinned and said "of course!". The girl asked me
if I wanted a barbell or a ring (I chose the ring...I just like 'em
better) She plucked one from behind the counter and handed it to Eric,
and we were off. Eric took me to a little room in the back of the
studio, where I hopped up on a table-of-sorts (kinda like when you go to
the doctor's office) I handed my sunglasses to my husband and told him
"here, I don't want to get blood on these..haha". Eric laughed and said
"there's no blood!" (I had remembered what I read on this page...that
someone had blood running down their face!) Eric put on latex gloves,
opened an alcohol pad and cleaned my brow good. He then threw away
THOSE gloves and put on ANOTHER pair of gloves and opened the ring from
its sterile package. He opened the needle from its package and told me
to show him where I wanted it. I pointed to my right eyebrow and he
marked the dots above and below my brow line. I nodded and told him I
just didn't want to watch. He clamped my eyebrow and said "take a deep
breath". I closed my eyes, and took a breath, then he said "and
exhale". As I exhaled, I felt a little pinch, then he said "ok". I
said "That's it? THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT??" and he laughed and said
"Yep, that's it." I couldn't believe it didn't hurt...a pinch..that's
all it was. He looped the ring through and tightened the ball. Then he
opened another alcohol swab and wiped the area around my new piercing.
I said "Is it bleeding?" and he said "No. I told you there wouldn't be
any blood". He gave me the "aftercare" information and I was on my
way. I've also read stories on here that people had their piercings get
infected, and "throb"...mine didn't even get red. I'm telling everyone
out there...if you get your eyebrow pierced and its throbbing or
BLEEDING ...than you got it done at the wrong place. I've only had mine
for 3 days, but it never once turned red, never bled, never throbbed,
nothing. It was a tiny pinch and now I got the ring I've been wanting.
So if you want it done right, go to TRACER's in Panama City Beach
Florida. ASK FOR ERIC! :-)
