I got my brow pierced a few weeks ago. It was a spur of the moment decision, so I was kind of in a hurry to get it done. I went to the first place I found, which was a shop owned by a guy who does awsome tatoos, and I assumed he knew what he was doing. He cleaned my eyebrow with Listerine, and told me I had to start off with a large hoop, like when you get your ear pierced and you get a stud first. He then showed me the one he was going ot put in, and I said it was too big, but he said I could have him put in a smaller one in a few months. It didn't hurt at all, I didn't bleed a drop, and it burned a little the rest of the day, but that was all. Then I started seeing other prople with eyebrow rings and asked them if they had to have a bigger one at first, and they all told me no. I called a guy in my area who does piercings and he basically told me that I had gotten screwed, the placement of the ring was off (because it was so big, the holes were really far apart), he said the gauge and the size of the ring were too big for anyone's eyebrow, and took it out for me. So, I spent $30 on nothing, but at least it healed well. I am thinking about having the guy who took it out redo it for me. Moral: check into the people who are poking holes in your body before actually having it done.
