I got my first eyebrow ring when I was 14. A friend kept trying to pierce his own, and eventually succeeded. I thought it looked great, and had him pierce mine too. Needless to say, my mother wasn't very thrilled, but she got used to it.
The first one didn't get infected or anything, so when I turned 16, I decided to go for another one in the same eyebrow. So I armed myself with a safety pin and some rubbing alcohol and disinfected the safety pin. I put ice on my brow so it wouldn't hurt as much and told my friend to go for it. Well, she got the pin half way through and claimed she just couldn't go through with it.(chicken!) So I finished the job and realized that the hoop I had wasn't going to work. So I had to go to the mall with a safety pin stuck through my eyebrow.
The third ring I got was out of sheer boredom when I was 17. I was at home alone, waiting for friends, and I had just gotten new hoops for my other two piercing, so I got my handy safety pin and pierced my same eyebrow for a third time. And I love it! When I did my first one, piercing eyebrows wasn't very popular. And now it is very popular, and it seems like everyone is doing it. But I have yet to meet anyone with three in one eyebrow, so I guess there is something unique about it.
I don't advise anyone to pierce their own eyebrows. I was young, stupid, and had no idea about the whole nerve factor. But they turned out fine, except for a slight infection in my second one. But having three eyebrow piercings does make it slightly expensive to get any kind of quality hoops. So I have cheap hoops that turn colors if worn for too long, and I need to shop for some kind of sterling silver hoops. But I love my triple pierced eyebrow and I wouldn't take them out for anything! Not even for a job (which probably is why I am unemployed!)
