It all started with my tongue, then my nipples, and after thinking of a genital piercing, checking the net for another piercing that I could possibly get, I decided on the guiche.
Talking to my piercing artists (Ara and Bonnie) at Bear Skin Art - Edmonton, I made the appointment May 04/01. The day came and I had a couple questions for the gals. I decided to go with a 10 gauge captive bead ring with a half inch internal diameter. Reviewing the experiences that I had read, I asked about which position would be the best for the piercing. We decided on the doggie style with my but in the air (a vulnerable position). Bonnie had done several in the past but never in this position, and found it to be the most accessible to the region. Ara was present because she had never done one and was being showed how to perform one.
I stood up to position the piercing best, with the scrotum in the neutral standing position, and with Bonnie and Ara below me I suggested that we go a finger width behind my scrotum. Bonnie marked it off and then I assumed the doggie style. Bonnie and Ara took their time to ensure a symmetrical site. Then came the needle, taper and CBR. It stung but not as bad as my nipples did. The gals were pleased with the final result and I was given a mirror, WOW I did it and it looked amazing. I went to work that evening and with the help of some Ibuprofen there was little pain but I had to be cautious of standing and sitting down. I would recommend doing this on a set of days off to alleviate this if you have to stand and sit allot.
The following days were not bad at all. I found that showering at rotating the piercing was a little uncomfortable but not painful and it got easier and easier as the days went on. In my sleep I found that the CBR naturally rotates, due to the moist environment, and it rests comfortably under my scrotum while I'm on my back. No trouble getting it caught during my sleep.
The following two weeks I had to contend with the twisting of the CBR due to the snug pants I was wearing. Wearing a jock strap playing softball was excellent even with wearing a cup (it wasn't noticeable at all). Its now been a little over two weeks and I am very pleased with the results (and so is my girlfriend). Its still a little tender at times but manageable. Walking around with boxers and loose pants I can feel the CBR and it gives a good sensation - probably even better with some kind of bullet weight, some additional weight will enhance the sensation of the swinging of the site. We've taken some photos and it looks very good and it's healing very well. Now I'm thinking of going with a curved barbell with some big ball ends to help with the twisting (OUCH).
If your considering this be aware of what I've experienced. I'm very pleased with the piercing and considering a second guiche. It is important that you are comfortable with your piercing artist with any kind of genital work and I will gladly go back to the gals because they were excellent and made me feel very comfortable for this work.
