My name is Karen, and I'm 15....and I did my labrette on Jan 1, 2000...and I
have it till this day.(April 7, 2000) I was sitting on my bed in my room
bored and thinking of what to do, and since I had already done my labrette
last year and got sick of it and took it out.......I decided to do it again.
My mom is a nurse so she brings home needles and I took an unopened needle
without her knowing and put it in boiling water just to be safe. Then I sat
down with ice and I started to rub it on my lip, then when my lip was numb I
got up and went over to the mirror. I made sure it was right in the middle
and then I pushed the needle in past the first layer of skin. I didn't want
to do it really fast because I was scared that I might mess up and make it
crooked, and that would have sucked. So I took it slow, then I eventually got
sick of it and I leaned into the needle and it was threw, although the last
layer of skin on the inside of my lip hurt a little when it went in. It was
one of the needles that was hollow so I put a piece of wire in the hole of
the needle and I pulled the needle out of my lip. Then after a day or two of
the wire I put a regular ear ring in the hole. After that I finally got my
broke ass some money and bought a real stud. I hid it from my dad for 4
weeks (I put a pacifier in my mouth when I was around him) but I told my mom
the first day, cuz she is cool like that. It didn't bleed a lot at all, and
since my lip was numb I didn't really feel the needle until the numbness went
away, and even then it wasn't that bad, it just felt weird...not really
painful. And now I have it in a 12 gauge. It looks sweet as hell, and I
recommend anyone to get it!
