Hi..my name is Italiana. I just turned 38 and much to my husbands dismay, I wanted a belly button ring. I have a tatoo, and several ear piercings...but this navel thing was making him crazy! He took me just last night. I went to the BodyArt tatoo/piercing shop in Clementon NJ. I was very nervous more about the amount of time it would take and not about the pain at all. I talked to a couple of the guys there and the place was very clean and bright. :-)) The piercing guy, John, was a sweetheart! He had several piercings and he made me feel very comfortable. I picked out just the standard silver ring with gunmetal colored ball. At the same time I was getting my upper ear pierced so i piced the same jewelery for that too! :-)) The three of us went into the back room....my husband, John and myself, and it was very bright and cleen there too! :-)) John had on gloves and showed me all the instruments he would use. All items were in new packages and the jewelery was cleaned.
I stood up and he marked my ear and my belly button. Then he asked me to lay down on the chair and he put an antiseptic around my navel and then told me he was going to put on the clamp and it may pinch a bit. It did pinch but nothing too bad. Then he asked if i was ready and I just said " get it done!!!! " :-)) He smiled and within what was like 3 seconds it was over... the needle was in and all I kept joking with him was saying.. " am I done yet????" LOL I was nervous.....but NOT in pain! Amazing!! Then he put in the ring and cleaned it up a bit and said go take a look. I went and looked and just wanted to get my ear done and get home! :-)) Well... here it is 16 hours later and my ear is killing me... but my belly button is just tender when I move a certain way! All in all... I am happy with my piercing experience....but I AM FINISHED MAKING HOLES IN MY BODY! :-))))
