I had thought about getting my navel pierced for about two years, so I made an appointmnet with a studio to get it done. However two days before my appointment I chickened out and cancelled. About a few months later I decided that I still wanted to get it done, but this time for real. My friend had had hers done, and offered to drive me to a studio, and come with me to get it done. The studio that I went to required no appointment, which was good because knew that there would be no opportunity for me to cancel or wimp out. In the car on the way there I was feeling really nervous. We walked into the studio, and I told the lady what I wanted. I picked a silver ball and ring. As I was walking into the booth I realised that there was no turning back. I have to be honest and say that it really did hurt, but that I didn't faint or anything. I have had a few infections, but nearly a year later my navel looks great, and I am so happy that I had it done
