Two weeks ago I got my navel pierced and it was cool. I am under 18, so I had
to bring my birth certificate and my dad with me. Nice to know that they are
professional. I went to Tribal Ways in Boston, MA. Arron (the nice piercer)
was really nice and explained what was going to happen and how to take care
of it. My friend got to go into the back room with me. He put a clamp on the
part that was going to get pierced and put a (big) needle in it. I didn't see
the needle myself, but my friend told me that I didn't wanna see it. And then
he put the wire in that was going to be the ring. He also put in a "pressure"
type bead. It will pop out if it gets suck on anything instead of ripping my
skin. Which I think is really nice. The piercing itself didn't hurt, but when
the needle was put through, that was shocking. The only thing that is
annoying about it is that I have to sit for 15 minutes every morning and
night with salt water on it. It doesn't hurt! That has to be done for 3
months. If you aren't committed to taking care of it, don't get it done.
