o.k., this is the story of the first body piercing i ever got done (besides my ears of course). it was maybe three days after my 18th birthday, and a friend and i decided that we were going to get tatoos, unfortunatly, i didn't have enough money for the tatoo that i wanted, so, as my friend sat in the chair getting her tatoo, i had a revelation: NAVEL PIERCING. it seemed like a great idea. so, as my friend and i left the tatoo place, with her basically calling me a pussy, i "informed" her of the plan to get my navel pierced...we went down the street to a small hair salon and piercing place.. when i got inside i was told that i had to wait for a while, because the artist who did the piercings had left to take his son to a party, but would be back shortly...so i sat and waited, not scared, or nervous, or anything, until he came in... we went through the routine of picking out the jewelery, and him getting cleaned up, then i got scared.. he told me to relax, and to go get a drink across the street at subway. i got a large iced tea and when i finished drinking that we were ready to begin(yes, the iced tea does have something to do with the story). anyhow, he told me to stand in front of this stool thing, and to hold my shirt up....that's when i asked the dumbest question of my life "is this gonna hurt?" "don't worry, it will only hurt for about five seconds, and then it is over" he then put what looked like a medeval torture device on my stomache to clamp it, and annouced"here we go". i have to tell you, it was the longest five seconds of my life, the pain was like nothing i ever felt...he got the hoop in, and was just about to clamp it shut when i felt that large iced tea coming up.. i wanted to say "i'm gonna puke" but it came out "i'm going to pass out" that was the last thing i remeber before waking up on the floor. the first thing i said when i woke up was " i passed out, didn't i?" that's when the rush hit, adrenaline like i have never experience, no rollar coaster, no sex has ever come close....that's when i realized the alure of body piercing...since then i have only had enough time and money to get my tounge pierced, but i'm very excited planning my next piercing...and whenever people ask me, "doesn't that hurt" i tell them the truth, "yeah, but the pain is the best part"
