I am a lady from NC- I'm 19 & I got my septum done.
I took my friend along (who has had about nine
piercings) for moral support.
I wound up having to wait about two and a half hours
at the parlour, but when my number was called, I was
not nervous at all.
I climbed up in the chair.
The girl and the guy spun me around. She cleaned my
nose with something smelly then started prodding
around with the receiving tube and whatnot. No clamps
at all. My friend was squeezing my hand I didn't even
flinch while they were piercing me. Everyone says the
septum is the most painful piercing, and even my
friend, who had his done three years ago. He said he
cried.
For me, it was like a zen experience. It was
divinity.
I just relaxed and closed my eyes and they poked a
piece of metal through my nose. I didn't curl my toes
up or anything. It felt nothing but good. That must
be the secret, you have to appreciate that you only
have one nose and you can only experience this one
time. So you have to savor it.
I found out I am a pain freak.
I went back a few hours and had four of my ear
piercings stretched. it was divinity as well. I just
wish she had gone more slowly. I hate the quick
pricks. They are no fun!
I reccommend a properly done septum piercing quite
highly.
