My name is Tina and I just got my septum peirced 2 days ago. It was the coolest thing I have ever experienced. I have had my tongue, eyebrow, and navel done before, but none were so cool as the septum.
I went to Club Tattoo in Tempe, AZ. and walked into the peircing room(which is bigger than my living room). Marty did the piercing and he was so calming that i was only nervous for about 3 seconds.
He told me to lay on the table and put a roll of paper towels under my neck. He felt around for a long time to find my "sweet spot." It felt kinda good to have someone sticking their fingers in my nose. He told me to take a deep breath and he stuck a 14g needle through. It hurt like a bitch for about 2 seconds. With the needle stuck through my septum like a cavewoman, I thought,"That wasn't so bad." Then he put the jewelry in. Now that was bad. ow. But it only lasted about 2 seconds also.
As it turned out, the 14g retainer was too big to be flipped up into my nostrils and they had no more smaller ones. So, he stretched the piercing to a 12g. Surprisingly, that didn't hurt.
So, he cleaned me up and gave me a mirror. I had never looked so cute in my life! I was glad we went with the 12g, because 14g would've been too small.I walked out of there feeling better than I ever have. It was great and I highly recommend it.
