about 2 1/2 weeks ago i decided to get my tongue pierced. my parents are
extremely against any kind of piercing so i was mainly scared about their
reaction! i made the appointment and went in...it was an extremely clean
place. i wouldn't get it done anywhere else! waiting in the room was the
worst part..my friend came with me and experienced all my whining and
bitching. finally it was my turn and i went into the small room and sat on
the chair. i was so nervous i kept laughing hysterically! i had already had
my webbing done so first he took that out...it felt so wierd to have no
jewelry under there! i'd had it in for 5 months! then he took the clamp,
grabbed my tongue with it, marked my tongue with blue marker, twisted my
tongue to the side, and held the needle up to the bottom of my tongue. he
told me to take a deep breath...then another one...and another...i was
anxiously waiting and wondering when he was going to put the needle in
already!!!!! finally, without me expecting it, he shoved the needle in. no
matter what anyone tells u, this piercing HURT! u can feel the needle
pushing all the way through ur tongue, and it's not that quick...it probably
took about 3 full seconds to get it all the way through..ow...then the
jewelry being put in barely hurt at all because it was basically numb by
this time. i bled a bit, it was kind of covering my bottom teeth. after my
spazzing i thought i was okay and dared to get up off the chair, but when i
stood up everything started spinning....now i'm not a baby, and i've never
fainted before, but when i walked over and began to get the money out of my
purse, i started shaking and i couldn't see straight! i guess then i fell
over, the piercer caught me, and i dropped everything. The next thing i
knew i was lying down on the chair with a cloth on my head and my friend was
picking up everythign that dropped out of my purse onto the floor! i was so
confused....afterwards it didn't hurt too too much..i couldn't talk or eat
for about 5 days, but after that was fine! after about five days it felt
totally healed, even though it wasn't, and i'm still rinsing with oral b
antibacterial every day... all in all it was a pretty positive piercing
experience i suppose...now it's great but then i wished i hadn't got it
done...it's a lot of fun to play with too! oh yeah and as for my parents,
they were okay with it, i guess...i was really scared to tell them but they
just let it slide!
