It has been six days since I've been pierced and I have enjoyed basically every minute of it. My only beef with the entire situation is my affected speech patterns. No one can understand me and I barely understand myself. My story begins on Halloween, my two girlfriends and I had planned this entire scenario for weeks, if not months. We were all going to get together with a parental and go to Bonehead in downtown Sacramento. We get there, all shook up and excited, and we are DENIED. They claim that we are required to have a birth certificate for each child even if the last names match AND we have IDs. What are the chances that three teenage girls, all respectable looking, would somehow snag three adults and have them all, with their last names matching, take them to be pierced. Two of the parents are teachers! Anyways, we're spurned so we freak out. The second I get home I call every place I can find within a few minutes driving distance. Everywhere is closing early. Oh, the madness. Not every one of us could get their birth certificate and one of the girls lives far far away. So we have to find a place that doesn't require a certificate. Arg, it's difficult. I finally catch this guy who was about to leave. I tell him "Hold on for fifteen minutes, we'll all be there soon!" So twenty minutes later we're still on our way, Halloween traffic was a bitch! He's about to lock up but lets us slide. I go first because I was basically the catalyst for this shenanigan. He clamped me good, which didn't hurt as I was told. And pierced me slow and sort of crooked. Oh, it hurt me. I wasn't being a baby, I have a high tolerance for pain, but when it came out the bottom I was tearing up! The initial barbell didn't hurt, I was still focused on the pain of it coming out. My friends all got theirs and I won the drooling contest! All in all, I think it was worth it. I love it and have fun playing with it all the time. I wish I had my speech back, the swelling has yet to go down, nearly a week later. Everyone is different. I haven't kissed anyone yet, though I have had several requests. I am going by the book, rinsing, brushing, all that jazz. I thought it was fun, you should get off your ass and do it! NOW!
