I thought I would add my Tragus experiance on this website, for all those people who are considering to get it done.
Before I got mine done i spent hours looking on sites to do with piercing, Tragus piercing in particular, looking at pictures, choosing a ring, looking at prices, and procedures but mainly reading the experiances of people to see what peoples reactions to it were.
I had wanted one for a while, as i was sick of my 2 ear piercings, and my cartlidge, i wanted something new, im not into the whole piercing thing, but i like to be different, and here in Australia a tragus piercing is definatley different.
Anyway much to the dismay of my mum i got it done.
I chose a really neat little place...chose some jewelery, and booked it, until they told me i needed to be 18 or have parental consent, and because at the time i was only 17, i was basically ready to give up.
Anyway they said they would call my mum, and she basically ended up giving in, although she wasnt happy.
After waiting 15 minutes for the needle to be steralized, and then another 15 minutes while they tried to find the piercer i was taken into a small disinfectant room, and sat on a long bed thing like at the doctors.
Chose the ear i was to have it in, proceeding to ask the piercer if it hurt, and before i knew it, id been clamped and pierced..however the girl couldnt get the earring in, so she had to pierce it again, which i didnt really like.
However, it depsite the double clamp and pierce it didnt hurt at all, it was a quick jab in the ear, then no pain, it bled a bit afterwards. and was quite itchy for a while. h owever ive had it over 3 months now and it causes me no pain any longer.
Sometimes i dont even realise its there until people always ask "OW, did that hurt"...and then i have to say "what" then i realise what theyre talking about.
Anyone wanting to get it done, i recommend it, it doesnt hurt a bit trust me!!
