Ever since I was little I always knew that someday I would get my tragus pierced. I never saw one pierced before, or even knew if you could. I didn't even know that name of that part of your ear. I just thought it would be neat to get pierced there.
I had both of my lobes pierced and 2 cartilages. Then about 6 months ago I saw pictures of tragus piercings on the internet. So I showed my parents. At first I didn't think they would let me but they said yes and they kind of liked it. So we went to a tattoo and piercing place where my parents got their tattoo done. I went in and the man said he wouldn't pierce me. His Grandma had surgery where the doctors hit her tragal nerve and it did something bad to her. So i was having 2ND thoughts about getting it done. So we drove over to Cherry Bomb. They are really good there. I talked to the man and he told me that the nerve is in your face and he's done lots of these piercings. So we went home and got my ID and birth certificate and went back. We took care of all the paperwork. Then Kerry took me to one of the rooms. He told me to sit in the chair and he sat in the one next to me. He showed me everything they use and let me watch all the things he did. They are really clean and nice there. Next he cleaned my ear and put a a dot where he was going to pierce it. Pretty soon he stuck the needle through and it didn't really hurt. It hurt but only for a second. I didn't hear the loud popping sound everyone talks about. Then he put in the CBR and let me see it in the mirror. I loved it. He gave me all my instructions and the cleaning soap and I paid him $40.
It healed up really nice. The only time it hurt was right after like any other piercing would and when i hit the phone on it.
about 2 days ago I went in with my mom and she had hers done. I got a new earring and I really like it.
I think the tragus is a really good piercing and its worth it to get. I'm going in to get my other one pierced. Most people like them but are scared of the pain. But when you get it done it doesn't really hurt bad and you don't always hear a popping sound. Once you get it you'll really be happy you did.
