I had wanted my tragus pierced forever but I was only 14 and no parlor would
pierce it let alone my parents allow me to. I went to Greece for spring
break by myself and after one crazy night at the bar, we drive by a piercing
parlor and I decide to do right then. We walked in and if anyones ever been
to Greece, you know that they don't have rules for anything. I asked them
to pierce my tragus and they asked what that was!! The man pulled out a
booklet that read "How to pierce ears" and looked it up. There was a picture
of an ear and it said to never pierce in the shaded area which was directly
over the tragus. The people then procedded to ask me if I wanted to pierce
it myself!1 I was beyond terrified and started to rethink my decision. So
finally one guy pulls out the gun and says "if you get brain damage for this
I can't be responsible" so I shook my head yes and he pierced it. It
didn't hurt at all and I slept on it that night. They poeple at the shop
were so proud of themselves that they didn't charge me for anything but the
star stud that I put in. I thought I had gotten away with it all but now 3
months later, my body is rejecting it as it would a splinter. It is almost
completely out of my ear and I'm being forced to take it out. I now have to
wait until it heals and until I turn 16 because no piercing parlor will do
it in the United States. I absolutly love it and would recommend it but only
if you have it done professionslly and you know what you're getting in to.
