Okay... after reading the other piercing stories, I had to submit one of my
own. I guess I have an advantage over the others, being that I'm almost 21
and can sign my own paperwork.
After considering an additional piercing beside the two cartiledge
piercings I already have (not into the lobe), I decided the tragus was for
me. Today was the day.
I went to a very reputable piercing place, where they made me sweat for 20
minutes before I was beckoned to the piercing room by a guy with metal
devil horns coming out of his nose. I've heard conflicting stories
regarding the pain of a tragus pierce.. some have said they couldn't feel
it, and some have said they'd rather have a hysterectomy without
anesthetic. What's the verdict? Minimal pain. The key? Don't look at
anything. I couldn't see what was going on, and it really didn't
hurt. The only awkward part was when the piercer inserted the jewelry.
Now I am just another happy statistic in the tragus-piercing world. Bottom
line: Highly, HIGHLY recommended.
